From hayrides, to 5k marathons, to holiday bazaars that will help you with your holiday shopping, we’ve got you covered. Kicking the month off is the Fall Harvest Hayride at Lapping Park in Clarksville. The hayride will take place on Friday, November 3rd from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. This hayride is free and open to the public! Enjoy taking in all of the beautiful fall colors and atmosphere in Lapping Park with your family or friends.
On Saturday, November 4th, Franklin Farms in Marysville will be hosting a Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Check out all of the locals booths and get some of your Christmas shopping done early. Franklin Farms is located at 7520 Oscar Long Road in Marysville.
Join the merchants of Downtown Jeffersonville for the Holiday Open House on Thursday, November 9th from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Plan on getting some holiday shopping done while supporting your favorite merchants in Downtown Jeff! We look forward to seeing you there!
Don’t miss “An Evening of Joy” at The Grand in New Albany on Friday, November 10th from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. This is an evening where there is no silent auction nor a long program to sit through, but one where you can enjoy the presence of good company and festive vibes. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and entertainment will follow beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.hopesi.org/shopsi/. All proceeds from An Evening of Joy will benefit Hope Southern Indiana.
Get your blood pumping during the D*A*S*H 5K on November 11th from 9 a.m. until noon. This marathon is an annual Veterans Tribute hosted on the Jeffersonville Riverfront. What a better way to spend Veterans Day! For more information, visit www.jeffmainstreet.org.
If you haven’t started your holiday shopping yet, on Saturday, November 11, Clarksville Middle School is hosting a Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be a $2.00 admission fee, but you will be able to walk through and purchase various items from more than 35 local vendors.
The Georgetown Optimist Club is hosting the Georgetown Community Festival on November 18th from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be games, the fire department smokehouse trailer, music, face painting, a silent auction, raffle baskets and much more! This is a great event to bring the whole family out to celebrate the Georgetown community! The Georgetown Optimist Club is located at 8260 Hwy 64.
Southern Indiana’s Largest Christmas Display is back again! Charlestown’s Winter Wonderland is returning beginning on November 24th and lasting until January 1st! You can experience the incredible display of lights in Greenway Park and in the City Square! Then head on over to the Family Activities Park across from the high school to enjoy more lights, ice skating and visit with Santa himself! Santa will be at the Family Activities Park Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can also catch a ride on the light up Christmas Train or the horse-drawn carriage! It’s that time of year again! Small Business Saturday is November 25th! With all of the holiday shopping going on, we want to remind you to shop local! Chances are, your favorite merchants will be offering deals during this holiday season! This is a great day to show your support of local businesses throughout the Southern Indiana community.
Also on November 25th, the Harrison County Fairgrounds will be hosting another Corydon Extravaganza – Christmas edition! If you didn’t have a chance to visit the Corydon Extravaganza in October, now is your chance to check out all of the vintage items the artisans are offering! You definitely don’t want to miss this!
Did someone say Jingle Walk? That’s right, this annual wine walk is back in Downtown New Albany on Saturday, November 25th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 or get an Early Access Pass (that’s gets you in at 1pm) for $35. To purchase tickets, visit www.developna.org.
The holiday season is approaching us and it will be here quicker than we know! Get into the holiday spirit in Southern Indiana with various Holiday Festivals and Light Up experiences! On November 25th, both New Albany and Jeffersonville will be hosting their light ups! New Albany is also offering their Holiday Fest in Bicentennial Park along with their tree lighting! Jeffersonville will be hosting their Light Up the Holidays Parade on Spring Street, followed by Light Up Jeffersonville in Warder Park! Enjoy seeing the beautiful Christmas light displays in Southern Indiana and getting into the holiday spirit.
